Discover Buenos Aires ... its culture, its music, its Tango
Easter Tango in Buenos Aires: In the Heart of Argentine Tango
Join us for an exciting journey to the global mecca of Argentine Tango—a trip steeped in history, music, and passion. From March 21st to 31st, 2027, experience Buenos Aires alongside instructors Fernando Serrano and Silvia Colli. The itinerary includes Tango lessons, visits to milongas, city exploration, and shared experiences within a small group of fellow enthusiasts. Over these 10 days, you will immerse yourself in the city’s unique atmosphere, discover Tango in its birthplace, and gain an intimate look at porteño culture and life.
During Easter week, we will also travel to the capital city of La Plata to attend the La Plata Baila Tango festival—an international event that draws tangueros from across South America and brings a multitude of dancers to the floor. Look forward to evenings at milongas, live concerts, and unique musical showdowns between two different Tango orchestras on the very same night!
From the milongas of Buenos Aires at the La Plata Baila Tango Festival, Argentina is lived to the rhythm of Tango!
Buenos Aires and La Plata: one journey, a thousand emotions, a single rhythm… the 2x4!
Buenos Aires is a city experienced through its music, historic neighborhoods, cafés, and vibrant nightlife. Here, the Tango is much more than just a dance: it is a living culture that renews itself every evening in the milongas (tango dance halls) and weaves its way through the city’s daily life.
Our Easter Tango in Buenos Aires trip invites you to explore the places that embody this culture: from traditional *milongas* and charming historic cafés to the colorful districts of La Boca and San Telmo, and the lively streets of Palermo, which stay bustling late into the night. We will balance Tango lessons with time dedicated to discovering the city, its culture, and the Argentine spirit of conviviality.
Through our Tango Shopping Tour, you will get a behind-the-scenes look at the world of Tango, visiting shops and venues deeply connected to this passion.
We will be by your side throughout your journey, helping you explore the city and experience its tanguero culture through the eyes of those who know and love it.
The trip also includes a visit to La Plata for the La Plata Baila Tango International Festival—an event that brings together dancers from many different countries, all united by their shared passion for Argentine Tango.
The highlight will be a special evening of dance featuring two renowned orchestras engaging in an exciting musical counterpoint — a dialogue of sounds, styles, and interpretations that transforms the milonga into a live music spectacle, perfect for both listening and dancing.
π When Buenos Aires lights up, the Tango comes to life
From the afternoon until late into the night, Buenos Aires shifts its rhythm, and the milongas become the beating heart of the city’s tango scene. We will guide you through a curated selection of venues, revealing the many facets of porteño tango—from evenings featuring concerts and renowned orchestras to more intimate, traditional milongas, including those held in the afternoon. Each outing offers an opportunity to dance, enjoy live music, observe local tangueros, and soak up the exclusive atmosphere that defines the milongas of Buenos Aires. This is more than just a night of tango; it is an invitation to immerse yourself in milonga culture, grasp its unwritten codes, and share in the unique spirit of an Argentine night.
π It is in the milongas—amidst music, embraces, and Tango steps—that Buenos Aires reveals its most authentic soul.

If January isn't the right time for you, you can choose a different departure date and enjoy the same experience of tango, Buenos Aires, and porteña life at another time of year.
Experience Buenos Aires through the lens of Tango, accompanied by Silvia Colli and Fernando Serrano. You will discover not only the milongas (Tango dance halls) but also the culture, music, and daily life of the porteños (residents of Buenos Aires). It is an unmissable experience for anyone who wants to get to know authentic Argentine Tango in its birthplace. Furthermore, we will attend evenings at the La Plata Baila Tango festival, where you can explore contemporary Tango and the sounds of modern orchestras featured at the event.
Is it suitable for beginners?
Yes. The tour is open to all Tango skill levels. Lessons and activities will be organized with varying levels of experience in mind.
Can I participate without a partner?
Certainly! You are welcome to join on your own. During workshops and group activities, we encourage partner rotation—a standard practice in the Tango world. It is also possible to book a dedicated dance partner on-site.
What accommodation options are available?
You can choose between the IMMERSIV option, which includes a stay at the Tango Allegria Guest House, or the SMART option, which includes a stay at a centrally located 4-star hotel. The core of the experience—the trip itself, the key Tango activities, and the guidance provided to the group—remains the same for both.
Are evenings at the milongas included?
Admission fees for milongas are generally not included in the price. During your stay, we will recommend the most compelling evenings—those featuring concerts, live music, or special events. We handle table reservations and accompany the group, though participation in any given evening remains entirely optional.
Is the program mandatory?
No. While the trip is organized, it offers a degree of flexibility: you can choose to participate in the planned activities or set aside time to explore Buenos Aires on your own. You can also decide to take an evening off to rest or join the group later in the night.
Are flights included?
No. The flight is not included in the price. For those who wish, we can provide assistance in organizing flights, travel insurance, and airport transfers through our partner agency.
Do I need travel insurance?
Yes. To travel to Argentina, you are required to have international health insurance that covers medical expenses. Border authorities may conduct random checks.
Do I need a visa in my passport?
You must have a passport that is valid for at least 3 months beyond your date of departure; a visa is not required for tourist stays of up to 90 days.
Do I need to speak Spanish?
No. You do not need to know Spanish to join the trip—we will be there to assist you with everyday situations. Besides, between one milonga and the next, it will be a wonderful opportunity to learn a few words of Spanish! π
Are there other dates available besides the one during Easter?
