A journey into the heart of the mythical and traditional milongas of the capital, to discover the secrets and roots of Argentine Tango. Walks in the city in the historic places of Tango, extra trips to the Delta del Tigre and Fiesta Gaucha, visits to the main Fairs and craft markets of San Telmo and Mataderos, concerts and dinner shows. Possibility of having lessons and practices with the best Argentine teachers of international level. And for those who want, it will be possible to continue the Argentina adventure to discover the Iguazu Falls, Mendoza and Argentine Patagonia.

Why choose this tour?

Historic milongas, local guidance, focused workshops and balanced free time. Perfect to experience tango “at the source” without tourist traps.

Is it suitable for beginners?

Yes. Workshops are grouped by level; in the milonga we help you choose the right nights and join the ronda comfortably.

Can I come without a partner?

Yes. We encourage role/partner rotation during workshops and group outings, respecting mirada & cabeceo.

What’s included / not included

What’s usually included?

Central hotel, selected workshops/seminars, escorted milonga nights, welcome and city orientation. (Check your edition’s sheet for exact details.)

Are milonga entries included?

Usually not: you pick your nights. We suggest and accompany the group.

Are flights included?

It depends on the edition. If not included, we share recommended schedules and transfers.

Logistics & safety

Is Buenos Aires safe?

We move in selected areas and venues, with clear tips on taxis/apps and timing. As in any big city, avoid flashy items and keep your phone secure.

Do I need a visa?

EU citizens don’t need a visa for short tourist stays. Passport must be valid; always check official requirements before booking.

What insurance do I need?

A travel policy covering medical/baggage and trip cancellation is recommended.

How do I handle money?

Use card + some cash. We’ll brief you on currency exchange options on site.

Schedule & pace

How many milongas do we attend?

We propose 1–2 options per day, alternating historic and contemporary venues for musical and mood variety.

Dancing versus sightseeing?

Tango is the focus; days include workshops and free time. We suggest light walks in San Telmo, Recoleta, La Boca—no heavy bus tours.

What if I’m tired one night?

No problem—our plan is flexible. Skip a night or join later.

Preparation

What should I pack?

Tango shoes (at least two pairs), comfy dance clothes, one elegant outfit, personal meds, plug adapter, light jacket. Go easy on perfume.

What’s the weather like?

Our main editions are in mild seasons; you’ll receive a weather reminder closer to departure.

Do I need Spanish?

No. We’ll help—smiles, mirada and cabeceo are universal.

- Fiesta Gaucha, a day in the countryside among asados, traditions and typical dances. The Fiesta Gaucha is a full day excursion (8 hours) in an Estancia a few kilometers from BsAs.
- Visit to Colonia di Sacramento (Uruguay) Colonia di sacramento is in Uruguay just 50 km away by sailing and crossing the Rio de la Plata. Its old city has a very interesting historic center to visit.
